This book, which has now become an African classics, is the first book published on the topic of Afrocentricity. In that regard, it is a foundational and fundamental text. Afrocentricity is without a doubt the most significant philosophy that has emerged in the African American Diaspora since the Harlem Renaissance and the Black Arts Movement. The Afrocentric idea is provocative, but above all, it is profoundly just for it addresses the heart of our problem, namely, our existential dislocation.
